Program Overview

Secure the Bag is a future-focused entrepreneurship and workforce readiness program designed to equip students with the skills, mindset, and confidence to create income, build businesses, and lead in today’s economy. Students learn how to develop personal brands, monetize skills, manage finances, and launch real-world ventures while building discipline, leadership, and long-term vision.

 What Students Learn

• Entrepreneurship Fundamentals:  Students learn how businesses are created, operated, and grown. They explore idea development, customer needs, pricing strategies, and value creation.

• Gig Economy & Income Strategies:  Students discover how to generate income through freelancing, digital platforms, and service-based ventures using their personal skills and interests.

• Personal Branding:  Students learn to present themselves professionally online and in person, including building resumes, profiles, and portfolios that attract opportunities.

• Financial Management:  Students develop budgeting, saving, and cash-flow management skills to responsibly manage business and personal income.

• Leadership Development:  Students practice decision-making, accountability, teamwork, and ethical leadership in project-based environments.

• Goal Setting & Execution:  Students learn to set realistic goals, break them into action steps, and track progress over time.

• Business Planning & Pitching:  Students create comprehensive business plans and learn to present ideas confidently to investors, partners, and stakeholders.

 Students who complete the program will:

• Launch Income Projects:  Develop and operate at least one real or simulated business or service venture.

• Build a Business Portfolio:  Graduate with documented business plans, branding materials, and financial records.

• Demonstrate Leadership Skills:  Show the ability to lead teams, manage projects, and solve problems independently.

• Improve Financial Responsibility: Apply budgeting, saving, and reinvestment strategies in real-world situations.
